The engagement for an organisation<\/span> as the DGQ is beneficial, even without extra pay.<\/p>\n

The DGQ aims at non-profit purposes. An essential precondition is the commitment of the numerous volunteers. About 400 people engage voluntarily in the DGQ besides working and family life. The spectrum of the voluntary work has a wide range. It ranges from the regional and expert groups to delegates and the management of the DGQ. One idea unites them all \u2013 the idea that the engagement for an organisation as the DGQ is beneficial, even without extra pay. They all want to make a difference, actively design the association, promote issues and expand their network.<\/p>\n

Delegates and management have a rather monitoring or controlling function. This does not exclude an engagement in other sectors of the DGQ. On the contrary \u2013 many volunteers have many different functions within the DGQ.<\/p>\n

The expert group leaders take over the expert guidance in their group. They accompany and support the locally working teams in their work in the expert group. Furthermore, they decide on the strategic orientation of the expert group\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

The regional group leaders do everything to offer their members interesting consultants, contents, networking possibilities and venues.<\/p>\n

Agility as guiding theme<\/h2>\n

Besides a meaningful commitment, the other advantages of a voluntary engagement are obvious. As a voluntary manager and as a delegate you can co-determine the orientation and course of the DGQ. The leaders of an expert or regional group can design or further develop the topics that are of special interest for them.<\/p>\n

The DGQ appreciates the voluntary engagement and tries to arrange an attractive framework for this by using targeted measures. A decisive element is the concept of agile voluntary work which is geared to approaches as Scrum, Design Thinking and the work method of the Open Content Community. It generates a framework making it easier for people to cooperate ad hoc regarding certain issues and to coordinate initiatives locally. The participants can cooperate more actively and smoothly than with a central control.
