Personnel Certification – Springboard for Your Professional Career

Certificates become increasingly important and play a major role when posts are to be filled. Certificates issued by DGQ are highly acknowledged as an objective evidence of competence – they are your key to developing a successful career in the German and European economy. Certification and examination are performed by the Personnel Certification Body. Examination is subject to control by a Certification Advisory Board and a Program Committee. The procedure and conditions of examination are laid down in the Examination and Certification Regulations and in the associated procedural provisions.

general provisions

The certification of qualified personnel is usually based on the proof of defined competencies under consideration of knowledge and practical experience in the defined subject area. Certification always includes two basic input requirements – related to content and organization. The content-related requirements (competence) are defined by the relevant certification programs (e.g. for DGQ Quality Representatives). These programs are continuously developed and extended. They are based on the requirements of interested circles (among others, companies and certification candidates). In this context, DGQ can rely on their competence network and more than 50 years of experience in the field of quality and management.

EXAMINATION

The organizational requirements (to be proven) define the procedures and processes necessary to ensure the fair, neutral and independent examination of the candidates. These provisions are laid down in the Examination and Certification Regulations and in the procedural provisions for the specific exam. The organizational regulations for DGQ examinations are based – as far as relevant in the individual case – on the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024:2003 "General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons".
Certification schemes may be a precondition for admission to examination.
